APS 50mm Extension Adapter FX50

The APS 50mm Extension Adapter FX50 pushes out the backing plate away from your FLEX PXE 80 by 50mm, allowing a bit more comfort and better working angles related to intricate situations when polishing.

Unlike the previous FV50 extension bars which threaded together, the FX50 is a single piece with precise manufacturing tolerances. There is no deflection or increased vibration in rotary mode when using multiple extension bars. Solid anodized aluminum construction, one piece design for rotary use only as the factory adapter and extension have been made into one machined piece. 

ATTENTION: these extensions can not be used with FLEX factory 3" backing plates as the factory plates do not have a relief cut in the threaded center. These extensions are designed with the intent of working areas smaller than what a 3" plate allows. The extension will accept the factory 1" backing plate.

NOTE: Rotary extensions are made for polishing paint. While they can work for polishing metal and aluminum wheels, excessive force on the edge of the backing plate will cause premature wear on the drive-end of the extension due to deflection... and not intended for that use case. This is a result of the 'drive system' and beyond the scope of the PXE80's capabilities.
