Carbon Collective · UK · Rinseless & Waterless
Ultra-Concentrated · Color-Changing Dilution Indicator · No Rinse Required · Matte & Satin Safe
Not your American-style rinseless wash. A new interpretation of what rinseless cleaning can be.
Carbon Collective EVOLVE is an ultra-concentrated waterless cleaner that can be easily diluted for the task at hand. This powerful cleaner does not require rinsing, making it perfect for a wide range of surfaces and tasks — it can be used at various dilutions in a spray bottle or used in a bucket as a rinseless wash.
EVOLVE has been formulated without waxes or protective additives. The highly-advanced surfactant effectively removes dirt and grime while leaving existing protective layers untouched, ensuring that the water-beading and sheeting properties of your protection remain unchanged. Additionally, it is 100% safe for use on matte and satin finishes.
A rinseless wash can be considered a necessary evil in detailing. At times, water intrusion plays a big factor when selecting this method of cleaning — especially with classic or high value cars where engineers may have been more focused on SPEED (Jeremy Clarkson voice) than water pooling in cracks and crevices, only to damage that precious metal over time.
What it does
Multi-use, highly concentrated — one product spans glass cleaner, dust removal, panel wipe, pre-wash, and full rinseless bucket wash depending on dilution.
Color-changing dilution indicator — visual confirmation that the product is properly mixed. Takes the guesswork out of concentration.
Protection-safe formulation — no waxes, no polymers, no additives. Cleans without masking or altering the performance of whatever is protecting the paint underneath.
Matte and satin safe — no gloss-enhancing or sheen-altering chemistry. 100% safe on specialty and delicate finishes.
Eco-friendly — full vehicle wash using only 12 liters of water. No hose, no runoff, no waste. Compliant with strict water-use environments.
Dilution Guide — Rinseless / Water
Bucket Wash Method: Using a wash pad, wash a panel, then immediately dry it using a quality drying towel. Repeat this process panel-by-panel until the entire vehicle has been cleaned.
Pre-Wash: Mix one part of the solution with nine parts water (100ml/900ml), and use it as a pre-soak on the dirtiest areas before the bucket wash process begins.
Key rule: If a product goes on, it needs to fully come off.
How to Use
Dilute to task — select the appropriate ratio for what you're doing. Color change in the solution confirms proper dilution. The range runs from 30ml/L for glass all the way to 100ml/L for pre-wash on heavy grime.
Work panel by panel — apply, wipe, and immediately dry before moving to the next panel. Do not let the solution dwell on the surface unattended.
Full removal on every panel — EVOLVE leaves nothing behind when used correctly. No smearing, no streaks, no polymer film on black paint under a light.
Use on relatively clean vehicles — rinseless washing is a process that should be done on relatively clean vehicles so as not to induce marring. Find what works for you, but the process demands clean technique.
What to Expect
I will say that Carbon Collective EVOLVE was not necessarily my cup of tea at first. I got a sample with no instructions almost a year ahead of release to the day, and was told to 'play with it'. With limited information and a very small sample, I had to be very cautious with how much I used. Once I came to grips with how amazing of a product it was, the sample had run dry. Calls for more were met with 'there's none left', and a gaping hole was left in my work up until the word was that release was coming.
I'm in America, and so are you most likely. We have all been schooled as to what a rinseless wash is by American producers, and they have relied heavily on towel feel via polymers on panel to drive a sense of security for the average user. This is why most can be diluted into a quick detailer at higher concentration. Carbon Collective has brought things into a much different direction, so do NOT expect this to perform like everything else. Where EVOLVE performs is in the act of CLEANING — part of why it may also be used as a panel wipe or even a bug remover at higher dilution ratios (are you getting it yet?). Wiping the solution off panel leaves nothing behind when done right — no smearing or streaks to speak of, on black paint and under a light.
Trust, you have not used a product like this — never mind a rinseless wash. It's my thought that if you wanted a typical American-style rinseless wash, you could possibly dilute Carbon Collective Rapide down a bit and have the feels you are accustomed to — this was my feeling when first trialing Rapide upon release... BUT if you are looking for a new interpretation on what a rinseless wash can be, EVOLVE is the innovation you didn't know you needed.
