ALL new Krānzle 1322 & 1622 pumps include a 'transit' oil cap during the shipping process, and a vented oil cap for when the machine is being used. Important to have and save both when not in use.
The vented cap was introduced to alleviate any pressure. When you'd do an oil change on an older machine, it was common to catch a little bit of spray when checking the top cap or draining from the bottom.
This vented cap also acts as a dipstick so you can monitor if there is any oil consumption.
