    Green Star

    Concentrated Alkaline All-Purpose Cleaner · Dilute-to-Task · Interior & Exterior

One bottle, dialed to the job — pretreat paint, cut wheel grime, pull spilled oil, and clean the cabin, just at a different ratio each time.

Most detailers end up with a shelf of single-purpose cleaners because nothing dilutes wide enough to cover the actual range of jobs that come up. Green Star is Koch Chemie's answer to that — one concentrated alkaline APC with dilution ratios printed right on the label, so you match the ratio to the job instead of reaching for a different bottle. Pretreating soiled exterior panels, breaking down bug guts and road film, or getting a heavily soiled interior surface back to acceptable — all of it is well within what this one product handles.

It's made more for exterior use — a solid medium-strength option for pretreating soiled lower paint sections, as a mild wheel and tire cleaner, and for working wheel arches. Like Koch Chemie's other APCs, it carries corrosion inhibitors, so you get high material compatibility on sensitive components like anodized aluminum instead of an unformulated alkaline cleaner chewing on them and fully pulling color.

Interior use is more limited, but it's not nothing — spray-and-wipe on door card kick panels and entryway plastics brings them back looking good, fast, and it handles mild to moderately soiled carpet ahead of extraction. It's also very reasonably priced for how many jobs it covers, which is really the whole case for keeping it within arm's reach at all times.

Dial-to-task dilution — ratios printed on the label so one bottle covers a wide range of jobs at the right strength for each.

Exterior pretreat — medium-strength option for soiled lower paint sections, dissolving bugs and road film before a wash.

Mild wheel, tire & arch cleaner — corrosion inhibitors built in, so it's safe on anodized aluminum and sensitive components.

Interior spot cleaning — spray and wipe on kick panels and entry plastics; mild to moderate carpet soiling ahead of extraction.

Driveway oil spot removal — at 1:10, saturate the spill after removing the bulk of it, dwell a minute or two, and lift with a towel.

    1:10–1:20
    Interior / Carpet
Kick panels, entry plastics spray-and-wipe. Mild to moderate carpet ahead of extraction.
    1:10
    Oil Spot Lift
Saturate, dwell 1–2 minutes, lift with a towel. Stronger ratios fine — see note below.

Do not let Green Star dry on any surface. Work in shade, wet the panel first, and rinse or wipe thoroughly before it has a chance to flash dry. For anything stronger than a 1:10 mix, know that Koch Chemie makes dedicated KCX products better suited to that job than pushing Green Star past its comfort zone.

    1. 1

Dilute to task — 1:5–1:30 for exterior pretreat, 1:10–1:20 for interior and carpet, 1:10 for oil spot lifting. Use a measuring tool, not a guess.

    2. 2

Apply by spray bottle or foam cannon — coat the target area evenly. Work in shade on exterior panels.

    3. 3

Allow dwell time — short contact is enough. For oil spots, 1–2 minutes is the target; don't let it sit long enough to dry.

    4. 4

Agitate if needed — a soft brush or wash mitt on stubborn grime, wheels, or arches.

    5. 5

Rinse, wipe, or extract — high-pressure rinse for exterior work, a clean towel or wet/dry vac for interior and carpet.
