A maintenance wash that gives back to the coating — not a decon step, a weekly one.
A ceramic coating loses a little of its water-shedding response between deeper maintenance washes — that's normal, not a failure of the coating. Ceramic Effect Shampoo is Koch Chemie's answer to that gradual fade: a bucket-wash shampoo built to restore hydrophobics and add gloss back into the surface as part of a routine wash, on a vehicle that's already being kept up. It's not a decontamination product, and it's not trying to be one.
Most effective on a vehicle running an existing ceramic coating, CES brings back that second-week feel of a freshly coated car — the beading, the gloss — without an extra step added to your process. A 50ml dose in roughly 2.5 gallons of water is the full dilution; wash and rinse fully like you would any bucket wash.
Koch Chemie was deliberate calling this a shampoo, not a soap or a foam. Apply it that way — bucket and wash mitt or pad only. It isn't formulated for a foam cannon, and running it through one works against the chemistry instead of with it.
What it does
Restores hydrophobic performance — brings back water-shedding behavior a coating naturally loses between deeper maintenance washes, no extra step required.
Adds gloss back to the surface — works with the existing coating during the wash to bring depth back, not by leaving a residue behind.
Built for the well-maintained vehicle — a routine wash-cycle product, not a heavy-duty cleaner. Keeps a coating performing without reaching for a decon step every time.
A shampoo by design — bucket and mitt is the correct method. Foaming it changes how the formula interacts with the surface.
Dilution & Application
Do not let the solution dry on the surface before rinsing — it can cause spotting. If washing outdoors, avoid direct sunlight, or work section by section (wash and rinse each before moving on) if sun exposure can't be avoided.
How to Use
Shake before use — and store away from excessively hot or cold temperatures; extremes affect the formula and shelf stability.
Add 50ml to ~2.5 gallons of water in a wash bucket.
Wash with a quality wash mitt or pad — bucket application only, never a foam cannon.
Rinse fully before moving to the next section — work section by section in direct sun.
