The perfect compliment to the EB212 Mini DA for your work is to match it up with the EB213 Rotary. Is your DA not making the cut? Well then a rotary is a proper way to knock down paint defects while maintaining temperature control of your substrate.
ShineMate manufactures their own tools and supplies other well-known brands in the U.S. market, so the OE pedigree is there. The ergonomics of the EB213 are excellent, and the smooth, textured plastics hint at the build quality carried through into the 'drivetrain'.
The drive unit of this tool feels similar to the EB212, balanced and quiet with a torquey feel with each up-shift of speed. Like the EB212, the button layout is intuitive, a double-tap trigger lock can be engaged at the start or while mid-pass without breaking your workflow. At 2500RPM, this rotary is singing and you'll be making fast passes to remove defects with the power of a bigger machine and yet the compact size of a handheld unit.
Built in LED Load Sensor indicates when the pressure is too much for the current battery level... but you'll most likely not see that while using a rotary drive. Wrist tilt is very easy to work the polishing pad into the tight spots where the head of a full size rotary will keep you out of some areas. I see the EB213 as being the tool that you do NOT need... until you're in that situation where you really need it.
Fit and finish is on point here, the battery makes a rewarding 'tone' when slipped into its tunnel. Heat evacuation is shared with the EB212, keeping vent areas away from all the spots you'd hold the tool.
ShineMate might not be a household name in the US Detailing Market yet, but as an OE, chances are you're already using parts made by them in your current selection of tools.
