Koch Chemie Teerwäsche A is a solvent-based tar and glue remover designed to sit a step below Eulex in aggression. Where Eulex is a single-pass solution that gets the job done in one go, TEA's strength is dialed back to where it can be used on plastic trim and exterior surfaces with far less concern about changing or damaging the finish underneath.
Do not underestimate it on that basis — this is not a weak product. TEA is very capable of removing tar spots and exterior panel adhesives with dwell time. What it offers is control. There are scenarios where going full-bore with a heavy solvent is the wrong call, and TEA exists precisely for those situations.
Safe on all paint and exterior plastic surfaces with appropriate dwell time. As with any solvent, test a spot first — texture retention on plastic, colorfastness, and surface compatibility all matter before committing to a full area.

Tar Removal with Controlled Strength Removes tar spots and road contamination from paint and trim surfaces. The controlled solvent strength means dwell time does the work rather than requiring the product to be pushed harder against the surface.
Safer on Plastic Trim Than Eulex Exterior plastic trim tolerates TEA with far less risk of surface alteration than a heavier solvent would carry. Where Eulex requires more care around trim, TEA can be applied with reasonable confidence given a proper test spot.
Exterior Panel Adhesives Adhesive residue from badges, trim clips, or dealer additions responds well to TEA without the risk of damage to surrounding painted or plastic surfaces that a stronger solvent carries.
New Tire Prep — Dot Removal TEA works effectively for removing yellow valve indicator dots and red balance dots from new tire sidewalls before dressing application. The slightly reduced aggression relative to Eulex makes it better suited to this use — it removes the markings without being unnecessarily harsh on fresh rubber.
