Koch Chemie Teerwäsche A Tea Tar & Glue Remover

Koch Chemie Teerwäsche A Tea Tar & Glue Remover is a solvent based cleaner designed to be less aggressive than Eulex. Where Eulex can be used one time to get the job done, the strength on Teerwäsche is dialed back enough to where it's applicable on plastic trim and other areas with far less fear of changing or damaging the surface as a dedicated tar remover. Safe on all paint and exterior plastic surfaces with dwell time. Do NOT underestimate the value of this product, you do not want to go full-bore with every scenario and application... and that's why this exists.

With any Tar & Glue product, it's important to do a test spot to ensure texture retention on plastic, color fastness, and any other factor that's important to you while working the area. While this does not have the strength of Eulex, it is not weak- it's actually very capable of removing tar spots and general exterior adhesives used on panels. 

Typical applications aside, I have started using Tea to prep new tires before applying tire dressing. As Tea is a little weaker than Eulex, I find it removes the yellow dots (tire valve indicator) and red dots (flattest point indicator) easily without being overly aggressive. I tell you to use your head when applying ANY solvent to your sidewall, be it for cleaning or as a means of dressing because of what long term exposure can do to rubber. I am suggesting new prep and maybe when needed only, not to be done on a regular basis.
